How to protect your privacy with VPN: What is a VPN?
#1
One question a lot of Internet and mobile device users is failed to ask is how safe is their privacy?
If the Internet safe, why is there hackers? Can we say the Internet is not perfect? To me, it has some built-in flaws that make you vulnerable when you're online.

So can we go off the Internet to secure our privacy? You submit your full name, phone number, email address to Facebook.com, Google.com and many other social Media just to get access to services they are offered. But apart from identification of users, Do you know these media's use your data for advertising purposes?

If you are still not convinced that your data is used for more than identification of you online, why is it that what you search on google and facebook will come up as adverts even if you don't search?

Someone that doesn't love Internet is not from this generation. If you don't love Internet you can signify below. I don't believe there is someone out there with knowledge of Internet and doest love it. To someone like me, Internet is the food of my soul!

  • So how can I secure my data's online if the internet is not safe?
You can secure your data online using a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
If you have use a free browsing cheat before, you should have been hearing or used a VPN for a cheat or another. You can checkout Etisalat 60MB Daily cheat here.

Probably you have been hearing about VPN. That's because it's more important than ever to be smarter and safer while you're on the Internet.

Also, in this global era, a lot of  privacy violation policy is being formulated daily by governments. So why wont you want to on the Internet without being tracked, monitored, and identified? In contemporary world, freedom is getting harder to find.

  • What is a Virtual Private Network?
Below is a quick, smart definition...and about all you need to know about a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
  • A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a service that you sign up for online for a small monthly charge or free (Less Privacy Protection, or full for a period of time [Trial])

  • Once you are registered (most often on full subscriptions as most free services dont ask you to register), your VPN service should be "on" when you're online

  • A Virtual Private Network, in action, takes over your Internet connection and makes it more secure:It helps you stay anonymous online and helps you get around blocks and access censored sites.
  • If you have Premium Version (Paid version) of a Good VPN because there a lot of fake or substandard VPN, you should be at least 80% anonymous

  • What a Good and Standard VPN do is that it lends you a temporary IP address and hides your true IP address from every website or email you connect with. However, Some (even paid version), will log your real IP on their server while some wont at all.
Quote:
It's Virtual because it work like you have a private connection directly to websites or computers you connect to.
It's Private because all websites you visit and online activity is between you and the websites you visit. That is why you are advised to share your informations only with https websites like naijacore.
It's a Network because you're using a special network of VPN servers that covers the entire globe.

  • Why VPN need to change your IP and Why your real IP address is very dangerous.
Your IP address is a behind-the-scenes digits (like binary codes) your Internet provider assigns your computer or other devices that allows you to go anywhere on the Internet. It's something like the house number on your home.
That's the good news about IP address, however the other "bad-like" news is that your IP address also provide your computing or device location, so when you are at home can be known and when you are at work. If you are in China and you type google.com, you will be automatically served with a Chinese Google Version and in Nigeria, you will be served with English Google version (google.com.ng). How did google know your location? IP Address provides your location to the website, and also the website in turn will provide you adverts and informations in Chinese.

Your IP Address can lead to your arrest over what you share online.
As day go by, things are not secure anymore on the web, even government files and data's online. So most governments in trying to stop the spread of fake public news around or even stop the spread of an information will get the root of the information or news then track the person or people down by their IP address, with the help of the person's Internet Service Provider.

Online businesses of all kinds monitor activity coming from IP addresses. They may not know your name, email or phone number, but they know you like or visits their website.

Also, Online companies and networks can (and do) restrict someone's access to a website based on where the user is located. Guess how they know where the user is? Right...the user's IP address.

It should also be noted that hackers can break into networks and sometimes take over devices through its IP address.

A Good IT experts will never preach for you not to use Virtual Private Network online. However, its not advisable in some cases though. As I mentioned earlier that some websites can block Virtual Private Network IP address. A Network Provider in turn may block a website on their IP address.. So in first case, you dont need a VPN and the other, you need a VPN.

Although Internet Providers and Technology Companies try as much as they can but its quite unfortunate that the Internet is not as safe or private as you wish it should be. You should be able to understand now that we don't have enough privacy, or security, as we'd like.

  • What can a VPN help you to do online?
It should be noted that when you go online using a VPN account/application, you tilt the scales in your favor.
A VPN account can instantly and continuously do the following for you:
  • Privacy Protection: Your connections to websites or computers cannot and will not be linked to your computer and or you. You can visit any website and your Internet Service Provider doesn't know where you've been.

  • Security: Virtual Private Network connections are super secure. The network is hack proof and all of your Internet activity is encrypted (coded) and unreadable in transit.

  • Website Access. No more blocks or censorship. They can't prevent from getting to websites based an IP address. Also they can help you visit websites blocked by your Internet Service Provider.

  • Anonymity. Your true IP address is hidden! You're unidentifiable online because you're constantly using a different IP address, never your own. In fact, it typically looks as if you're in a different part of the world from where you really are. Amazed? Thats what VPN does and the power of VPN.
